Dear friend,

As a global movement of people who stand up for justice, dignity and fundamental freedoms, we care about what you think.

Amnesty International is constantly inspired by our 2.7 million supporters around the world who passionately campaign for human rights every day. We’re now asking you to give us your views on how we should organise ourselves into the future.

In April we invited you to take part in a survey on Amnesty International Australia’s work and ways that we can be more democratic in our decision-making. That survey provided us with a set of inspirational principles that you felt should guide the way we work.

Since then, we’ve taken those principles and started a conversation around ways that we can better fulfil them in key components of our system - such as our decision-making, our use of technology, board composition and elections.

We value greatly what you have to say - please visit our website and join the conversation around how we can improve our work in these key areas

This year we’ve together taken action against some of the world’s worst human rights violations including: arbitrary detention and torture, violence against women, war crimes, poverty and the death penalty. We’ve achieved great impact for people affected by these abuses, and must ensure that we continue to enhance the effectiveness of our work into the future.

Please take a few moments to tell us what you think about the various aspects of the way we work and how we can improve

Thank you for helping to strengthen our work and achieve even greater impact as the world’s leading human rights organisation.
