Dear friend,

Women, men and sometimes even children are locked in jail cells around the world awaiting execution. Some of them have been tortured, and some have never even talked to a lawyer.

Executions are now banned in 137 countries, and on 10 October – World Day Against the Death Penalty – people all over the globe will stand up in solidarity to call for universal abolition of this cruel and barbaric practice.

Help stop execution of Tang Thi Ba

Tang Thi Ba, a 52 year old former post office treasurer in Viet Nam, received a death sentence for embezzlement in May 2008. Her family will not be informed before her execution, which will likely be by firing squad. Please join us in urging the President of Viet Nam to commute the death sentence of Tang Thi Ba.
