Are you passionate about Indigenous Peoples' Rights?
We're inviting you to a free, one-day conference on the human rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in Queensland!
The conference will discuss how human rights instruments (such as the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples) can be applied to governance, law enforcement and justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in Queensland.
Where: Parliamentary Annex, Parliament House, Corner Alice & George Streets, Brisbane. Traditional lands of the Turrbal and Jagera peoples.
When: 8:30am - 5:15pm, Wednesday 5 October 2011 (includes lunch morning and afternoon tea)
This event forms part of our Demand Dignity campaign which aims to protect the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
While this is a free event, it is essential to RSVP by 5:00pm 28 September 2011 for catering purposes - and please advise us of any dietary requirements you may have.
